A newly refurbished countryside bungalow, finished to a high accessible specification within a peaceful location in the hamlet of Machat. It was previously the site of the hamlet’s bread oven for the community.
Whether you are looking for a peaceful time amongst the wildlife and flora, or a base for walks and cycling, this is the perfect spot. You can walk in splendid surroundings, straight from the front door if desired. With the River Vienne just 5 minutes’ drive away, it is the ideal location for fishing, canoeing or lounging by the lakes.
The bungalow is located on 5 acres of private grounds with its own secluded garden & patio, opening up onto a beautiful meadow and woods.
It has a very bright living/dining room area and kitchen. The kitchen is spacious, modern and well-equipped with a gas hob, microwave, built-in electric oven, washing machine, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, iron & ironing board.
You will have everything you need to feel right at home and make some memories.

Our stay at this accessible rental in France was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property had been thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind, making our trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.
The home itself is spacious, with wide doorways and a step-free layout, perfect for wheelchair access. The bathroom had a roll-in shower and sturdy grab bars, which gave us peace of mind and made getting ready each day hassle-free. The kitchen was also well-equipped and accessible, with appliances and counters positioned at convenient heights.
Overall, this rental is ideal for travelers with mobility needs who want to enjoy the beauty and culture of France without worrying about accessibility challenges. We couldn’t recommend it more and look forward to returning for another stay!
